Stable Bothy & Shepherd's Bothy sit within 30 acres of Lagnaha land in the Strath of Duror between Duror Forest and Ardsheal Hill. The semi-detached Bothy conversion has been lovingly restored with beautiful fixtures and fittings. Thick original stone walls and high ceilings in the main living areas have allowed a mezzanine floor to be incorporated making for a unique contemporary yet traditional bothy feel.
The main living area in both bothies is open plan and includes the lounge, kitchen and dining area. The lounge has a large comfy corner sofa, smart TV and a Squirrel Mørsul wood burning stove. Underfloor heating, with tiled floors throughout the ground floor ensure comfort, practicality and warmth. The ground level also has a twin bedroom (or double) and a bright all tiled bathroom. The mezzanine level has a double bedroom (or twin) with a further one (Shepherd’s Bothy) or two beds (Stable Bothy) separated by a paravent screen.
Each Bothy is great for a family of 5-6 and could be booked together with the other Bothy next door to give accommodation for up to 10-11. The Bothies have shared use of the large gravel courtyard, where there is outdoor seating for each unit. This area is fully enclosed and there is plenty of room for parking. Lagnaha’s four horses live in the stables on the other side of the courtyard.
